I say hello with orbital cannons all the time...
Centcomm 28th Dec 2012, 12:45 AM edit delete reply

I know what you want for new years!
Draginbeard 28th Dec 2012, 12:28 AM edit delete reply

Great Googly Moogly! Ground fixed Orbital-Howdy-Blast-your-ass cannons! I'm betting that's something on TeeDee's Christmas list!

Last panel...Acantha has kind of a crazed, Norman Bates look on her face. Kali would be proud!

Centcomm 28th Dec 2012, 12:44 AM edit delete reply

if she could carry them you betcha ! those "cannons" are about the size of house :D actually larger :P and yep - shes happy XD
plymayer 28th Dec 2012, 12:29 AM edit delete reply

"Hello".
Centcomm 28th Dec 2012, 8:53 AM edit delete reply

hee!
cattservant 28th Dec 2012, 12:32 AM edit delete reply

Mark Twain and Lewis Carrol;
Acantha is very well versed in ancient literature!

(Kali is an acute observer of the royal family...)
Centcomm 28th Dec 2012, 12:43 AM edit delete reply

Shes a fan of the classics :D
lalverson 28th Dec 2012, 2:35 AM edit delete reply
Orbital cannons are just the intimate and friendly hello everyone should enjoy. Unless you can afford Quad Ion cannons.
Centcomm 28th Dec 2012, 8:52 AM edit delete reply

hehe!
Death2Bravo 28th Dec 2012, 3:19 AM edit delete reply

The cannons track everybody, it's whether they fire or not that you have to worry about. Whether you'll live long enough to get to "hello"
Centcomm 28th Dec 2012, 8:52 AM edit delete reply

there ya go! you have it down~!
CyberSkull 28th Dec 2012, 3:35 AM edit delete reply

If everyone here is mad, then statistically madness is normal. Normal is sane. Therefore the only sane (wo)man, as the outlier, is the mad one.
Centcomm 28th Dec 2012, 8:53 AM edit delete reply

and there ya go! I think we have a winner here folks :D
KarToon12 28th Dec 2012, 10:04 AM edit delete reply

I just thought of Star Wars:

"Don't bother. There's no life forms aboard." XD

Which, that reminds me, it would be the biggest twist ever if they both turned out to be robots/androids. D:
Centcomm 28th Dec 2012, 10:17 AM edit delete reply

hehe that would indeed be a interesting twist! and evil not sure how Lynn and Acantha would take that info :D
Dragonrider 28th Dec 2012, 10:43 AM edit delete reply

Okey Dokey Now we know why Decimus is afraid of this place, SMART MAN!! Reminds me of several places I have NO desire to revisit for any reason ever. If inside is worse that this I hope someone has Zoloft or its equivalent for Lynn she's going to need it.
Lynn has been subjected to a series of shocks to her mental state for sometime now, I wonder how many people brought up sheltered in the lap of luxury would be able to be as calm as she is.
Centcomm 28th Dec 2012, 10:45 AM edit delete reply

Oh Lynn has had some minor meltdowns along the way - her big one is coming .. trust me. she HAS a limit.
Dragonrider 29th Dec 2012, 8:20 AM edit delete reply

Her limit would seem to be on the level with Kali, either that or she has studied Zen, or another mental discipline. BTW where is boyfriend who was flying to the rescue? With the elapsed time since Lynn arrived he should be there and well into repairing the AI. Come to think of it where are Marcus, Little Miss Quick Trigger Finger and Company, Nova Roma should be quite full of rescuers, all of which will give the Cassians something to do, following them around. Hmmm Kali might just welcome these diversions, free Cannon Fodder if she and Marcus have to throw caution to the winds to protect Acantha and stage an uprising against Decimus to seat her with Maximus or the Doctor as Regent for a year or so.
Centcomm 29th Dec 2012, 10:43 AM edit delete reply

ok timeline update - this takes place 2 days before Kyle zoomed off from sparta
Dolly is still at breakers. and Marcus and team are winding there way to roma on a path to throw off sniffers. so its technicly a few days before anyone arrives.
cattservant 29th Dec 2012, 3:24 PM edit delete reply

<tCaI* say> Greetings and Saturday Salutations to you!

Panel 2:
Acantha, being a student of the ancient classics, perhaps was implying;
'Is that an orbital defense cannon in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?'

*<the Cats and I>

Centcomm 29th Dec 2012, 3:25 PM edit delete reply

hahah thats a good one!
cattservant 29th Dec 2012, 3:34 PM edit delete reply

At this point,
Lynn makes a good straight woman for a momentarily manic Acantha!*

*(Who is as free from oppression right now as maybe she has ever been...)
Centcomm 29th Dec 2012, 3:46 PM edit delete reply

yep she does indeed :D and Acantha just cant pass up pressing it a bit :D
cattservant 29th Dec 2012, 4:03 PM edit delete reply

It would be of interest to learn something about the Livius family.
Aurelian and the Revolution,
and how Valerius shaped the current situation.
I think I detect an almost Shakespearean
level of story here...
Dragonrider 30th Dec 2012, 10:12 AM edit delete reply

Macbeth comes to mind as does Oedipus and Laius in Classical Greek Mythology, also Chronos and Zeus.
cattservant 30th Dec 2012, 12:13 PM edit delete reply

That is what is so good about this Tale.
Its roots delve so very deep and wide!
Centcomm 30th Dec 2012, 12:50 PM edit delete reply

heheh we draw on lots of things :D
cattservant 30th Dec 2012, 1:18 PM edit delete reply

"heheh we draw on lots of things :D"

This reply could pass for a pun...
(Table napkins,
Paper bags,
Printer paper,
But mostly
Monitor screens!)
...If you're having a bit of fun!

Dragonrider 30th Dec 2012, 3:31 PM edit delete reply

@catservant Do you know how to tell if a blonde has been using the word processing program on your computer?
cattservant 30th Dec 2012, 3:38 PM edit delete reply

@Dragonrider:
Something about Wite-Out on the monitor screen?
Dragonrider 31st Dec 2012, 9:23 AM edit delete reply

Yes, I was thinking about your comment about drawing on Monitor Screens.
Centcomm 30th Dec 2012, 12:50 PM edit delete reply

really ? cool ! thanks !
Centcomm 30th Dec 2012, 12:50 PM edit delete reply

your wish is my command - next update does indeed give more info ! :D
dpallee 30th Dec 2012, 8:04 PM edit delete reply

Can't wait to see what's inside.....her brain..
Centcomm 30th Dec 2012, 8:06 PM edit delete reply

hehe - hopefully it will stay in her skull :D
Totallynotacomicfuryuser 23rd Jan 2014, 5:57 AM edit delete reply
I approve of the 'greatly exaggerated' reference

The madness runs in the family line, after all -- though hers took on a more positive form :-)
