LOL! Teedee doesn't mence words. Pool anyone!
Centcomm 27th Aug 2013, 9:36 PM edit delete reply

Pool table - weapon of opportunity :D
Stormwind13 27th Aug 2013, 9:09 PM edit delete reply

Leave her, Connie. She doesn't DESERVE your help. :-p
Centcomm 27th Aug 2013, 9:36 PM edit delete reply

that may be true.. but its not in connies nature..
Stormwind13 27th Aug 2013, 10:19 PM edit delete reply

Yeah, Connie is a BETTER person than Goldie is. :-p I doubt though she will get any appreciation from Goldie for her assistance though.
Sheela 28th Aug 2013, 4:43 AM edit delete reply

I wouldn't be so certain about that.
Even annoying people sometimes realize when they owe someone an apology.
Goldie just might come clean with Connie.
Stormwind13 28th Aug 2013, 6:11 AM edit delete reply

Not holding my breath for that, Sheela. :-)
anarcha 27th Aug 2013, 9:09 PM edit delete reply

I've always had a special love for women fecking sh*t up, I'll admit.
Centcomm 27th Aug 2013, 9:37 PM edit delete reply

me too.. :D im right there with ya :D
anarcha 27th Aug 2013, 9:43 PM edit delete reply

Just as I thought.;)
velvetsanity 27th Aug 2013, 9:09 PM edit delete reply

Oh dear. She just suddenly switched targets to someone who *wasn't* actively trying to hold her attention.

TAKE HER DOWN NOW!!!!
Stormwind13 27th Aug 2013, 9:16 PM edit delete reply

I think TeeDee is probably trying to get Marcus actively paying attention to something besides her, give her a better shot at HIM.

And she is probably PISSED off by Goldie (not that I blame her there) for the 'tude she gave to Connie (which ALSO applied to TeeDee herself, though Goldie doesn't know that).
velvetsanity 27th Aug 2013, 9:22 PM edit delete reply

That would necessarily imply she's actually in control of herself and thinking clearly, Stormwind...
Centcomm 27th Aug 2013, 9:44 PM edit delete reply

well she is KINDA thinking clearly.. her anger is just overriding her common sense..
cattservant 27th Aug 2013, 9:56 PM edit delete reply

Sometimes any excuse is a 'good' excuse!
Stormwind13 27th Aug 2013, 10:28 PM edit delete reply

Um, has TeeDee EVER had common sense? :-D
Centcomm 27th Aug 2013, 10:30 PM edit delete reply

LOL not often enough.. :D
Stormwind13 27th Aug 2013, 9:47 PM edit delete reply

Well TeeDee is still able to talk... and make sense, velvet. So she isn't TOTALLY gone (yet). And she still SOUNDS like TeeDee even. :-)
velvetsanity 27th Aug 2013, 10:09 PM edit delete reply

She's far enough gone to send a pool table flying at her own teammates, and NOT at the teammate that's actually getting into it with her. How does that make sense?
Stormwind13 27th Aug 2013, 10:41 PM edit delete reply

I'm waiting to see where the table stops at velvet. If it runs over Goldie and stops there then I would call TeeDee still in control.

If it plows thru Goldie, Connie, Marcus, the bar and the far wall... Then you would DEFINITELY have a point, velvet. :-D
Sheela 28th Aug 2013, 6:32 AM edit delete reply

If Connie braces herself, she should be able to stop the table with minimal damage to herself .. she does after all have a synthetic skeleton.
Marcus Ramesy 28th Aug 2013, 12:31 PM edit delete reply

the fact that she switched targets from an active threat, to a non active threat means that she is not exactly all with it.... the purpose of what is trying to be done is to focus TeeDees attention on me.. and keep the civilians out of it... dick head at the bar may deserve having his face turned in to a fine red mist.... I dont need to deal with the local Justicars... im afraid that if TeeDee keeps up what she is doing.. she will leave me no choice but to have her retired...
Sheela 28th Aug 2013, 1:29 PM edit delete reply

Well, there's the possibility that she using the civilians as a distraction for you - in which case, it's a calculated move.

.. which incidentially, might be a whole lot more dangerous for you.
Stormwind13 27th Aug 2013, 9:10 PM edit delete reply

Rose, love the dialogue on this page. :-D
Centcomm 27th Aug 2013, 9:45 PM edit delete reply

she did a fantastic job here :D
Tokyo Rose 28th Aug 2013, 6:11 PM edit delete reply

Thank you! Teedee's heads-up yell was one of the most fun things I have ever written. Ever. :D
highlander55 27th Aug 2013, 9:20 PM edit delete reply

At least Connie does have it in her to take charge of the moment when needed.

<edit- How can Teedee have a camel toe?>
CyberSkull 27th Aug 2013, 9:25 PM edit delete reply

In the future, spray-on clothing is quite ordinary. No, really. They have a dozen cans in the ship.
highlander55 27th Aug 2013, 9:47 PM edit delete reply

She is supposed to be a smoothie remember! No vag just exhaust ports.
Centcomm 27th Aug 2013, 9:53 PM edit delete reply

actually she has all the external details.. JUST in case of a strip search .. and the camel toe is a light trick from the material streching accross the crotch.
highlander55 27th Aug 2013, 9:57 PM edit delete reply

No offense Centcomm but I know why a camel toe is made. LOL
Centcomm 27th Aug 2013, 10:06 PM edit delete reply

sorry i was refering to the CGI model - my apologys
Highlander55 27th Aug 2013, 11:05 PM edit delete reply
Centcomm.. AH, Umm think I better not say any more. <snicker>
Tokyo Rose 28th Aug 2013, 6:13 PM edit delete reply

I find it hilarious that the CGI model and texture for the pants has managed to create the same effect as real-world pants do, except for a totally different reason.
cattservant 27th Aug 2013, 9:58 PM edit delete reply

You mean she's not getting 'hairy'?!
highlander55 27th Aug 2013, 9:59 PM edit delete reply

Nope, Not wet either!
cattservant 27th Aug 2013, 10:10 PM edit delete reply

Maybe so, but I bet her processors are very slippery right about now!
Don B. 27th Aug 2013, 9:24 PM edit delete reply
Talk about reaping what you sow. Connie has no blood on her hands (as far as we know) but TeeDee sure does. Goldie was talking to the wrong android there...too bad for her she was still within earshot of the right one. Kinda ironic that the android she was railing against is the one that probably saves her. We'll see if she's going to be grateful. I have my doubts but people do surprise me.
Centcomm 27th Aug 2013, 9:49 PM edit delete reply

nope connie has never killed anyone in her entire life.. or really even seriously hurt anyone. this is ALL new to her.
Stormwind13 27th Aug 2013, 9:51 PM edit delete reply

Very unlikely that Connie ever got in a situation to get blood on her hands, Don. I mean, she isn't a combat model, she was basically a CLERK. :-p

And I agree with you Don. I kind of doubt anyone as BIGOTED as Goldie will let being saved make a dent in her prejudice. :-p
highlander55 27th Aug 2013, 10:22 PM edit delete reply

HA HA! Centcomm and Rose are going to chastise us..
Centcomm 27th Aug 2013, 10:28 PM edit delete reply

not at all Highlander.. Storm is "on the money" people dont change easy. and often its over a long period of time.
Sheela 28th Aug 2013, 4:47 AM edit delete reply

True enough, though they sometimes manage to at least be polite.

On a sidenote - Methinks Connie is about to take one for Goldie.
That's the kinda stuff that could make Goldie rethink her prejudices ... a little.
Stormwind13 28th Aug 2013, 6:07 AM edit delete reply

It is possible, Sheela. I think it unlikely though. When someone is as bigoted as Goldie is toward a group, individuals hardly matter to them. They can't see the trees for the forest.

But we will see if CentComm has any redemption in mind for Goldie. :-)
Sheela 28th Aug 2013, 6:34 AM edit delete reply

I doubt we'll see Goldie make a turn about on her prejudices, but I could see her make an exemption for Connie, if Connie defends her.
Tokyo Rose 28th Aug 2013, 6:16 PM edit delete reply

We had a bit of a discussion about this, actually. I wanted to avoid the grating cliche of "bigoted person is helped by target of bigotry, years of prejudice go away like magic, formerly bigoted person embraces target of bigotry wholeheartedly, sunshine and rainbows and kittens ensue". People *can* change their views over single incidents, but as Cent points out, it's not easy or quick.
Stormwind13 28th Aug 2013, 8:53 PM edit delete reply

Even if they change over the single incident, frequently it is days to months before the change takes hold. They are thinking about it, modifying their views in their head, but it won't be like flipping a light switch. :-)
Centcomm 28th Aug 2013, 9:01 PM edit delete reply

exactly. as pointed out elsewhere even Acantha has negitive emotions about andriods. and shes pretty open minded.
Sheela 29th Aug 2013, 1:18 PM edit delete reply

Well, if a single accident can make her question her own prejudices, such as .. say .. make an exemption for one android, such as "thank you Connie, you're not bad .. for an android.", she's be more open to future changes.

... if ...
CyberSkull 27th Aug 2013, 9:24 PM edit delete reply

Oh dear, is TeDe going to punch the balls mid-air to knock them towards the current target of her ire?
Centcomm 27th Aug 2013, 9:55 PM edit delete reply

i think, shes picked her weapon of choice. :D
Stormwind13 27th Aug 2013, 10:11 PM edit delete reply

Weapon of choice: Pool table, one. :-D
Stormwind13 27th Aug 2013, 9:27 PM edit delete reply

That is impressive, CentComm. Kick turning a pool table, stopping the spin and then booting it at Goldie. Not something just ANYONE could do for sure.

And Connie and Goldie have pretty much the SAME comment to what is going on. Connie was quicker though. :-D
Centcomm 27th Aug 2013, 9:47 PM edit delete reply

i think her cover is becoming dangerously thin.. lucky for her "full body cyborgs" are known. but thats very high end.. VERY high end.
Stormwind13 27th Aug 2013, 10:08 PM edit delete reply

Well I've heard of even normal people, full of adrenaline that have been known to flip cars off people. So it isn't IMPOSSIBLE for someone to move that much mass when they are pumped up. Just IMPRESSIVE as he!! :-) And would show JUST how pissed off TeeDee is too, if she WAS a normal person. :-)
Centcomm 27th Aug 2013, 10:29 PM edit delete reply

very very true one thing working in her favor is the flooring. its slick. and the pool table has "casters" to protect the floor. it doesnt move easy but it can move once friction is overwhelmed - its all physics :D
Stormwind13 27th Aug 2013, 10:43 PM edit delete reply

Yeah, that is hard to tell from here (on the other side of the 4th wall). I mean, textures don't transfer real well. :-D
KarToon12 27th Aug 2013, 9:30 PM edit delete reply

One of two things will happen:

Connie will save the New Rome chick, and she'll, in turn, thank Connie for saving her and change her point of view.

Or two, Connie will save her, but even despite the save, the lady STILL won't treat her like a human being.

...or three, none of the above. XD
Centcomm 27th Aug 2013, 9:51 PM edit delete reply

yep .. one of those thing will happen :D but proably not option three.. and you missed a option .. goldie goes off on connie ... :D
cattservant 27th Aug 2013, 10:03 PM edit delete reply

And Connie has an epiphany* about the worth of some human individuals.

*(Perhaps physical)
highlander55 27th Aug 2013, 9:52 PM edit delete reply

Never mind, Centcomm got it before I could post.
Goldie goes on about her touching her and pushing her which is an indignant action maybe?
Sheela 28th Aug 2013, 4:51 AM edit delete reply

There's also the option that Goldie gets saved by connie, who takes some damage from putting herself in harms way. For that, Goldie thanks Connie, even if it doesn't change her worldview on androids in general, she can allow for connie to be "a good android, among many bad ones".

Basically, she'll make an exception for connie, but still be prejudiced against android in general.
jamie59 27th Aug 2013, 10:33 PM edit delete reply

Congrats on 2^10 comics!
Centcomm 27th Aug 2013, 11:41 PM edit delete reply

thank you :D
CyberSkull 28th Aug 2013, 1:23 AM edit delete reply

I didn't realize this was page 1024!
Sheela 28th Aug 2013, 4:55 AM edit delete reply

Eeeet Eeesss !
And congarats on it too. :)

Oh, and is that a City of Heroes screenshot in the background of panel 4 ?
Stormwind13 28th Aug 2013, 6:09 AM edit delete reply

Well, congrats on getting to 1K (as measured by computers); however, when you next redo pages this will change again. :-)

And I wondered what that picture was too, Sheela. It does kind of look like a screen capture from Skyway. :-)
Sheela 28th Aug 2013, 6:35 AM edit delete reply

I was thinking of an abandoned warehouse map myself.
Centcomm 28th Aug 2013, 7:36 AM edit delete reply

I forgot what mission it is - but its the circle of thorns mission with the Geinie :D
Sheela 28th Aug 2013, 10:07 AM edit delete reply

Accomplishment achieved : Spotting city of Heroes in a webcomic's background!

:D
Tokyo Rose 28th Aug 2013, 6:20 PM edit delete reply

If I were a petty person, I'd say that in the DC timeline, NCSoft went out of business shortly after an unusually huge chunk of "blue ice" detached from a passenger plane and crashed through the roof of their corporate headquarters, bludgeoning their entire board of directors with defrosting human feces. And then they all contracted cholera and shit themselves into comas.

If I were petty.
Stormwind13 28th Aug 2013, 6:55 PM edit delete reply

My only comment to that Rose is that you are being too NICE to them! :-p They deserve WORSE, though I'm not sure what that would be right now. :-)
Centcomm 29th Aug 2013, 1:53 AM edit delete reply

NC soft - distroyed by unknown object ... is now canon =^_^=
Stormwind13 28th Aug 2013, 5:18 PM edit delete reply

The colors look wrong for that mission, but in looking closer at it, I see the pattern for one of those CoT missions. :-)

Was it, Recover Serafina's bottle from the Circle of Thorns? :-)
Centcomm 28th Aug 2013, 8:56 PM edit delete reply

ah yes I think it was :D
mjkj 28th Aug 2013, 5:13 PM edit delete reply

Yayy for 1 kC (kiloComic) - thank you, Cent and Rose. :p
Sheela 29th Aug 2013, 12:45 PM edit delete reply

I have to admit, I understand why NCsoft did it, but I'm still sad to see City of heroes fall to the wayside.
mjkj 28th Aug 2013, 7:29 AM edit delete reply

Wow, great one.

As stated so much already: I hope Connie gets some appreciation for saving goldie and does not get hurt too much in the process.

*hugs Connie*
Sheela 28th Aug 2013, 10:08 AM edit delete reply

Well, on the bright side, android bones ought to be fairly durable, so even at worst, she would probably only take mostly surface damage.
mjkj 28th Aug 2013, 12:02 PM edit delete reply

Well, yeah, but she also has skin and flesh (or the equivalent of those) and can feel pain - so I really hope she will be fine.
Centcomm 28th Aug 2013, 12:18 PM edit delete reply

Connie has a light duty skeleton only slightly tougher than human being made of a artifical compound similar to bone. and her muscles while laced with Myomer fiber only give her some enhanced speed and strenngth. so yeah for her being hit like TD was would be nearly fatal.
Sheela 28th Aug 2013, 1:34 PM edit delete reply

Oh I'm not saying she's going to be unscathed - But, the way that TeeDee is standing, there's a limit to how much energy she can transfer into the table, and a good deal of that will be scrubbed off from friction as it travels across the floor .. slippery floor or not.

Connie stands a good chance, even with human strength skeleton, to survive the table with relatively low damage - Especially if she attempts to just deflect some of it and let the rest of the table careen into the wall behind her.
Stormwind13 28th Aug 2013, 5:13 PM edit delete reply

Um, Sheela. Depending on the materials a pool table is made out of it typically weighs between 500 and 1000 pounds (or 230 kg to 455 kg). So even at low speed that is an awfully big HAMMER.
Sheela 28th Aug 2013, 5:31 PM edit delete reply

It is a big hammer, but it's also moving at relatively low speed ... I mean, it's not like it's supersonic or anything.

Also, most of the mass will also be pressing downwards, creating friction, which scrubs speed, thus lowering the impact.

But certainly ... it still a dangerous thing. Heck, I've been in a bar room brawl where a table like that was send my way, and I'm still alive to tell the tale. Admittedly, it was moving even slower than this one, but I also don't have synthetic bones.
Mark_L_A 11th May 2015, 1:27 AM edit delete reply

I noticed that. If you look at her left foot it appears she is bracing it against the wall behind her. Allowing her to use all of her strength to push off and apply it to launching the table.
VanEzzania 28th Aug 2013, 12:02 PM edit delete reply

In the panel with Aurelia and Connie... is that a picture of someone riding a raptor, with a machine gun, and holding the American flag?
Centcomm 28th Aug 2013, 12:18 PM edit delete reply

Yes it is... Oh yes it is.. :D
Tokamada01 28th Aug 2013, 2:54 PM edit delete reply

TeeDee, I read your statement "Whorey Dress"... Then look at the pictures of you and Aurelia in this strip... ahem... transparency... all im going to say. You've obviously failed the dice roll for Awareness and the Calm roll..full blown "Reload Trama" it is.
Centcomm 28th Aug 2013, 3:25 PM edit delete reply

gigglefits!
Rashala 28th Aug 2013, 3:23 PM edit delete reply

Tecnically this could be theraputic
Centcomm 28th Aug 2013, 3:26 PM edit delete reply

it very well could be :D
highlander55 28th Aug 2013, 8:12 PM edit delete reply

Has anybody noticed the Brit split REAL fast when Teedee did her Rocky the flying squirrel routine?
Centcomm 28th Aug 2013, 8:14 PM edit delete reply

hey , he might be a jerk but he has a sense of self preservation .. sometimes :D
highlander55 28th Aug 2013, 8:21 PM edit delete reply

Yeah, and their the ones who get to add to the gene pool. Sheesh!
Centcomm 28th Aug 2013, 8:27 PM edit delete reply

agressiveness in breeding .. >_< besides some guys actually LIKE being able to father children clean. and it IS a vaild factor. and hes pretty much aloong ' Im gods gift to women " love me! *sighs*
highlander55 28th Aug 2013, 8:39 PM edit delete reply

At least you didn't have hearts after the sigh. LOL
Centcomm 28th Aug 2013, 8:55 PM edit delete reply

nah it was a sigh of disgust.. >_<
highlander55 28th Aug 2013, 8:41 PM edit delete reply

First time I ever heard fathering children as ' clean'! Usually mess to clean afterwards.
JustNoPoint 29th Aug 2013, 10:18 AM edit delete reply

I never liked pool anyway.
